At last it has arrived after 12 years of painstaking research by Jon B. Cooke and a wonderful book it most definitely is! A 288 page hardcover history of WEIRDO!

This marvelous tome includes a front cover and introduction by Drew Friedman.  Interviews with R.Crumb, Peter Bagge, Aline Kominsky-Crumb, and Ron Turner Publisher of Last Gasp.

There are also the highly entertaining essays and informed histories by Jon B. Cooke and the recollections and testimonials of 130 WEIRDO contributors, including yours truly.

In the early 1980's R. Crumb started and edited a new comics anthology known as WEIRDO. Up until that point my comics had appeared in various "Punk" publications, but definitely nowhere else.

There were 28 issues of WEIRDO. R. Crumb edited the first 9 issues. Peter Bagge edited issues 10 through 18. Aline Kominsky-Crumb edited issues 19 through 27, and R. Crumb and Aline Kominsky-Crumb edited the final issue 28. R. Crumb drew all 28 covers and had some of his finest stories in all 28 issues.

I had the privilege of having my short stories published in 4 issues.
