WinkieWorld Headquarters

Mixed Media - 2007

Another illustration from the short story "A Wasp In A Wig" published in a Special Issue of The Comics Journal.

After years of bitter struggle amidst the corporate sleazery that masquerades as community and culture, Winkie's enthroned at the top.

She is the CEO of her very own corporation, and she runs it on the fuel of her very own churlish whims.

So Long Little Winkie

Mixed Media - 2007

Another illustration from the short story "A Wasp In A Wig" published in a Special Issue of The Comics Journal.

For the second time in her life, our heroine Winkie is running away from home.

The first time may have been involuntary. The second most definitely not!

This image portrays the changes in Winkie's consciousness after she became a changeling.

Changeling

Mixed Media - 2007

This illustration is from a short story titled "A Wasp In A Wig".

I stole the title from an unpublished chapter from Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll.

The story was published in a Special Issue of The Comics Journal in 2007.

This image is for the scene where the child heroine Winkie is surreptitiously substituted for another.

A Prince and the Pauper sort of thing.
